Mauritius Golf Holiday: 7 Days in a Luxury Villa at Anahita
For a week of golf in Mauritius, base yourself in a luxury villa at Anahita on the east coast. Play three or four rounds (days 2, 3, 5 and 6), spend day 4 on Île aux Cerfs and keep your arrival and departure days golf-free. Add a spa treatment or two after your longest rounds, and budget from around €5,000 for a couple, excluding flights.
This is the itinerary we recommend most often, whether guests are traveling as a couple or with a group of golfing friends. If you haven't found your base yet, browse our Anahita villa rentals.

7-Day Anahita Golf Itinerary, Day by Day
Day 1: Arrive in Mauritius and settle into your villa
The drive from the airport to Anahita takes about an hour. Allow an hour or so to unpack, then keep the afternoon free: a swim, a nap, a stroll around the estate. For dinner, have a meal prepared at the villa or book a quiet table at the resort.
It's also the right moment to lock in the rest of the week: tee times, spa slots and your Île aux Cerfs day. No golf on arrival day.
Day 2: First round at Anahita Golf and the spa
The Anahita golf course, designed by Ernie Els, runs along the lagoon with superb views of the east coast. Tee off early, before the midday heat. After a light lunch, book a 60- to 90-minute massage: it's the best time to loosen up your back and legs.
Day 3: Practice, pool time and a sunset dinner
An easier day: the driving range or nine holes late in the morning, then an afternoon by the pool. In the evening, dine on the terrace as the sun goes down.

How Much Does a 7-Day Golf Holiday in Mauritius Cost?
Indicative budget for 7 days:
For two people, the bulk of the budget goes towards the villa, golf, and one or two spa treatments. For a group, the villa and green fees represent the largest expense, but the cost per person drops quickly. Book the villa and transfers first, then adjust the rest according to the number of rounds played. See our luxury villa rentals page for Mauritius.
2-3 bedroom villa | €2,500 to €5,500 |
4-5 bedroom villa | €5,500 to €12,000 |
Golf in Anahita | About €80 per round for villa guests (10,000 MUR, around €190, for visitors) |
Meals (breakfasts and dinners) | €700 to €2,200 |
Spa | €250 to €900 |
Airport transfers | €50 per trip |
Île aux Cerfs and activities | €180 to €700 |
Day 4: A day on Île aux Cerfs
Anahita sits right across from Île aux Cerfs, about ten minutes away by boat. Spend the day on the beach, swimming in the lagoon and trying water sports, with lunch on the island. Golfers can also play the Bernhard Langer course there. Head back late afternoon for a quiet evening at the villa.
Day 5: Second round of golf
After a day without clubs, your legs will thank you. Play your second full round in the morning and keep the evening free.
Day 6: Third round or a half-day at the spa
Keen golfers head back out, while others book a half-day of treatments. This is the night for the week's most special dinner, since nobody has an early start the next morning.
Day 7: A long breakfast and transfer to the airport
Take your time over breakfast, enjoy one last walk around the estate, then allow about an hour for the drive to the airport. Leave some margin, especially for a late flight.
Tips for Playing Golf in Mauritius
-
Timing: tee off early. After 11am the heat builds, especially from December to April.
Season: May to November is cooler and the best time to play. Expect a stiff trade wind on the holes along the coast. See Mauritius weather month by month.
Pace: for a couple, two or three rounds is plenty. For groups, split into two tee times.
-
Meals: keep lunch light on golf days and save bigger dinners for evenings without an early tee time.
